NGC is a relative newcomer to the logistics field. But that doesn’t mean we’re inexperienced. Our management team has over 23 years’ combined knowledge of the sector. And we’ve learnt from some of the biggest names in the business – both how to do it, and how not to. Now our goal is to build a business that can take on the best

At the heart of our approach is an unyielding commitment to customer service. It drives us to push boundaries, reach further and try harder to ensure that we keep our customers’ promises and protect their reputations.

So far, it’s working. Since 2008 our growth has been stratospheric. We now have one of the largest HGV fleets in the country and we’ve passed Amazon’s stringent supplier requirements.

Over 70% of our business comes from previous clients, with around half of the remainder coming from referrals and recommendations.

Which is very positive, as our ultimate goal is to become the most reliable name in the industry. We’re confident we can get there.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be the best, and we are unwavering on this factor. We also have the ethos that giving help breeds greatness – we almost exclusively recruit from local unemployed people that are looking for an opportunity to show what they are capable of. We tap into this lapsed potential and look to breed it into a new and exciting workforce – a workforce that is glad of the opportunity presented to it and which also benefits their respective local community.

Our History

We began as a very small company but have grown into a major player within our chosen field. We realise our roots came from a seed whereby we weren’t expected to gain such rapid success. It is this thinking of combatting the odds that has led us to supporting the local economies of our various sites across the U.K. through the recruitment of people suffering their own personal hardships, such as redundancy. This is a way of thinking that you too acknowledge via your use of philanthropic trusts.

We are used to being the underdogs, but we’ve got the bite that those in our position lack. We hide this trait behind our humble stature, but we’ve got a very successful and focussed mind-set. We show this when need be, when a client’s business depends on it.

Our Accreditational Aims

We are applying for many awards, these will help your company – maybe not directly, but they will help. What awards?, I hear you ask. Well, below is just a snippet of what we are aiming for:

We want the ISO 9001 accreditation. ISO 9001 is a Quality Management Standard. It suits all organisations large or small and covers all sectors, including charities and the voluntary sector. It aims to help organisations like ours become more structured and more efficient. Who wouldn’t want that?

The standard’s intention is to improve internal working in order to help us achieve greater consistency and quality of service. We look at this accreditation to help us improve what we already have in place, this is done by replacing bad or even non-existent processes with ones that are both relevant and functional. The results are greater efficiency and productivity, linking to increased profitability for us – and we pass this to you.

ISO 9001 is also aimed at achieving client satisfaction by setting out what needs to be in place in order to consistently meet requirements. In a tough economic climate, retaining clients is vital and we appreciate that the bottom line is what you look at, as we do also.

The ISO 14001 is another accreditation we have firmly in our sights. The ISO 14001 will help NGC to be more environmentally friendly, show us how to measure our consumption and reduce waste. We will help our clients be more adaptive and structural when it comes to their day to day operations.
